To act as a support group for the Jacksonville Public Library

How to join:

 To join the Friends of the Library, you may pick up forms at the Jacksonville Public Library - 201 West College Ave. (phone # 243-5435).

• Individual: $8

Activities:

• Friends Newsletter: published twice yearly
• Programs: In addition to supporting Library Programs, the Friends have two annual meetings featuring a special speaker or program.

Friends of the Jacksonville Library Bookstore

 The Friends organization runs a bookstore in the Peddlers’ Antique & Home Decor Shops located at 1847 South Main Street. Hardbacks sell for $1.00 and Paperbacks for $.50. The store is open Tues.-Sat. from 10-5 and Sunday from 12-5. The store is closed on Monday.

 Donations of gently used hardbacks and paperbacks are accepted at the store. Proceeds from bookstore sales benefit the library and its programs.
